The course C327/ How to Secure Funding for Your Research is being offered by the Graduate School of Health, Aarhus University, in 2026.
Criteria for participation: University degree in medicine, dentistry, nursing, or Master’s degree in other fields and/or postgraduate research fellows (PhD and research-year medical students).
Requirements for participation: None
Aim: This course aims to assist and support in navigating the application process for both small and large grant applications. This task can be particularly challenging for PhD and research year students.
Learning outcomes: At the end of this course, participants will have an improved understanding of how to secure funding for their research. Participants have strengthened their skills within the following themes:
- - Clarity and conciseness
- - Alignment with the Funder's objectives
- - Impact and outcomes
- - Budget transparency
- - Compelling narrative
Workload: The full workload of the course is expected to be 12 hours

The course includes both teaching and practical exercises.
During the course, we will work with the following themes related to fund applications
- Timing of application
- The fund
- The applicant
- The project
- The budget
- The recommendations
- The internal, including institutional review
