The PhD programme 'Language, Linguistics, Communication and Cognition' is hosting a 'Basic course 1 (Basiskursus 1): Introduction to Linguistic Research' in the week June 10-14, 2024, every day from 09:30 till 16:00.

The course will give an overview of central theories, methods and debates in some of the fundamental disciplines within linguistics;

- Phonology and Phonetics (10.06.2024)

- Morphology (11.06.2024)

- Syntax (12.06.2024)

- Semantics (13.06.2024)

- Pragmatics (14.06.2024)

Aim:

The aim of the course is to give the participants an overview of central ideas, methods and debates in some fundamental disciplines within linguistics. It is thus an attempt to broaden the general linguistic and cognitive horizon of the participants and to improve their understanding of the neighbouring disciplines of their own specialisations.
