Criteria for participation:
University degree in medicine, dentistry, nursing, or Master’s degree in other fields and/or postgraduate research fellows (PhD students and research-year medical students).
Requirements for participation:
Requires knowledge of the topics of Basic Biostatistics part 1. For users of the statistical package Stata or R.

Aim:
The course provides an introduction to more advanced statistical models and analyzes in medical research
Learning outcomes:
- Document and handle data needed for a statistical analysis
- Chose a relevant statistical model for a given research question and evaluate the assumptions of the statistical analysis
- Perform a statistical analysis based on the chosen model
- Describe the results of the statistical analysis, and discuss the results in relation to the scientific question
Workload:
The full workload of the course is expected to be 75 hours
Content:
Correlation, analysis of variance and covariance, linear regression and binary regression. Simple survival analysis. Model diagnostics.
