The European Doctoral Programme in Career Guidance and Counselling (ECADOC)announces the call for the 10th ECADOC Summer School.
This years summer school will be hosted by Professor WSR Rie Thomsen and the Graduate School, ARTS, at Aarhus University. The programme consists of readings, keynote presentations, methods workshops by Professor Ronald Sultana, Professor Tristram Hooley, Professor David Reimer and associate professors Kristina Mariager-Anderson, Per-Åke Rossvall Nikos Drosos, Anouk Albien, Randi Skovhus, Laura Cordes Felby.
Participants will take part in collective academic supervision, reflections on a research career, interactive workshops with local career guidance practitioners international collaboration and student-led discussion sessions.
Partners for ECADOC 2023 are Graduate School ARTS, Danish School of Education - Aarhus University, Euroguidance and FinnFram Doctoral School.
We will welcome up to 24 current doctoral researchers at the Summer School.
The summer school will take place at Sandbjerg Estate in Denmark on 14th-18th August 2023.
There is no fee for participating in the summer school. However, all participants will need to cover their own travelling and accommodation costs. We, therefore, advise eligible participants to apply for Erasmus mobility funding as soon as possible and will support any other relevant mobility agreements. Aim:
ECADOC offers annual summer schools for doctoral researchers working on topics related to career guidance and counselling and careers, more widely. The interdisciplinary summer schools are organised in different countries every year and offer participants the opportunities, to present and discuss their research projects, to expand their knowledge of diverse research methods and to network with peers and senior researchers from other countries. Prior participants evaluate their ECADOC experience as a highly valuable input to their research as well as their academic career and well-being.

Target group:
We welcome applications from doctoral students in career guidance and counselling and related areas of research.
Participants must include the following documents for application (to be attached as one file PDF)
- A completed application form
- A CV in English
- A description of your doctoral research project, illustrating its relevance to the field of career guidance and counselling (max 1 page)
- A certificate of enrolment as a PhD student (scanned copy) or other verification of enrolment in a PhD programme
