The workshop international mobility is part of the onboarding programme offered by the Graduate School of Natural Sciences/GSNS. The onboarding workshops are offered for PhD students enrolled at GSNS on part A. GSNS PhD students on part B are welcome to join but should be aware, that the workshops are addressed primarily to PhD students on part A.

Workshop content:

The purpose of this workshop is to focus on going abroad, e.g. mobility grant from GSNS, GSNS Rules and regulations, experiences from Head of PhD School and PhD students, and presentation from the Travel Group about grants, taxes and reimbursement

13.00-13.15   All the formalities part 1 – introduction and GSNS Rules and regulations, mobility grants, etc. (GSNS admin)

13.15-13.50   Why go abroad? (Head of PhD School David Lundbek Egholm)

13.50-14.10   Coffee break

14.10-14.50   Going abroad (PhD student 1)

14.50-15.30   Going abroad (PhD student 2)

15.30-16.00   All the formalities part 2 - grants, taxes and reimbursement (AU Travel Group)

Workshop format:

The workshop will mostly consist of presentations from different speakers and time to ask questions.

Onboarding programme:

The onboarding programme will introduce different work tools all relating to the process of initiating and doing a PhD project in the best way possible. These will be introduced through peer-mentoring groups and workshops with different topics. By participating in the onboarding programme the PhD students will be offered an insight into handling ups and downs during their PhD, and how to develop as a young scientist. The onboarding programme will also give the PhD students an opportunity to meet fellow PhD students and expand their network – both socially and academically. Read more here.
